What is it?

Juvéderm Vollure is a smooth and balanced gel for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. It is injected into the areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the parentheses lines or “smiles/laugh lines” around the nose and mouth –also known as nasolabial folds – as well as deep lines that extend from the corners of the mouth to the chin – also known as marionette lines – occur. Clinical studies demonstrated that Juvéderm Vollure lasts up to 18 months (about 1 and a half years) with optimal treatment.

How long does Vollure XC last?

Clinical studies prove Juvu00e9derm Vollure XC can last up to 18 months. However, the longevity of filler depends on both the patient and the area where the filler is placed.

What does XC mean in Juvederm?

XC means each Juvu00e9derm filler contains lidocaine, which works immediately to numb the surrounding injected area. Lidocaine is utilized to prevent pain and optimize patient comfort during filler injections.

What is Juvederm Vollure XC?

Juvu00e9derm Vollure XC, alongside all other Juvu00e9derm line fillers, contains hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally-occurring molecule found in the skin. Juvu00e9derm fillers contain a hyaluronic acid gel that is FDA approved to treat areas of facial wrinkling and soft tissue depressions. Juvu00e9derm Vollure XC is commonly used to correct moderate to severe wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds.

How long does swelling last after Juvderm Vollure XC?

The duration of post-filler facial swelling depends on what area of the face filler is injected. Swelling after Vollure XC filler is temporary and can last up to 7 to 10 days after your treatment.

Can Juvederm Vollure XC go in lips?

Juvu00e9derm Vollure XC can be injected into the lips to provide a natural lip augmentation. One of our nurse injectors will meet with you for a comprehensive skincare consultation to further determine the filler type necessary to achieve your desired aesthetic goals.

How long do the results of Juvéderm Vollure XC typically last?

The results typically last up to 18 months, depending on the individual. It delivers subtle, natural-looking enhancements by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, particularly around the nasolabial folds and marionette lines, for a long-lasting effect.

Is there any downtime associated with Juvéderm Vollure XC injections?

There is minimal downtime. Most people can resume their normal activities immediately after treatment, though some may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site, which usually subsides within a few days.

What areas of the face can be treated with Juvéderm Vollure XC?

Juvéderm Vollure XC is primarily used to treat nasolabial folds (the lines running from the nose to the corners of the mouth) and marionette lines (the lines from the mouth to the chin). It can also be used to add subtle volume and smooth out moderate to severe wrinkles in other areas of the lower face.

Are there any side effects or risks associated with Juvéderm Vollure XC treatments?

Side effects associated with Juvéderm Vollure XC are typically mild and temporary. Common side effects include swelling, redness, bruising, and tenderness at the injection site, which usually resolve within a few days. In very rare cases, there may be lumps or infection at the injection site. It's important to have the treatment performed by a trained nurse injector to minimize risks and ensure safe, effective results.

How does Juvéderm Vollure XC differ from other dermal fillers?

Juvéderm Vollure XC stands out from other fillers because of its longevity and flexibility. It uses Vycross® technology, which blends different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid to provide a smoother, more natural look and feel. Unlike some fillers, Vollure XC is designed to provide long-lasting results while allowing for natural facial movements, making it ideal for treating moderate to severe wrinkles and folds, like nasolabial folds, with subtle, natural-looking outcomes.
