What is BodyTite?
BodyTite is an exceptional body contouring procedure that uses tiny incisions and radiofrequency energy to coagulate fat and tighten the skin. Unlike liposuction, BodyTite requires smaller incisions and offers additional skin tightening through gentle heating while liquefying and removing fat. This technique offers a superior experience versus more invasive surgical procedures that excise skin and leave scarring. BodyTite is an excellent option for patients looking for body contouring without long downtime or recovery periods and simply want slimmer, more toned results.
Am I a Candidate for BodyTite?
One important thing to note before opting for a BodyTite procedure is that you should be at or near your ideal weight to maintain your results with an established diet and exercise regimen. BodyTite can effectively address stubborn pockets of fat that don’t respond to weight loss and mildly sagging skin. These are most often the result of weight gain or pregnancy, making BodyTite an ideal way to refine your weight loss results without extensive downtime.
How is BodyTite Performed?
BodyTite is typically performed under local anesthesia. After this is administered, a tiny incision is made at the treatment area and a specialized cannula is inserted. This tool administers radiofrequency energy to generate gentle heat to melt fat and stimulate collagen production. Also attached to the handpiece is a specialized disc that sits on top of the skin to monitor temperature and prevent heat damage. The liquefied fat is suctioned out through the cannula, which also coagulates the nearby blood vessels and reduces the amount of downtime required because of bruising and bleeding. Overall, this procedure can take about 15 to 20 minutes
What Can I Expect After BodyTite?
BodyTite requires very little downtime, and you can return home after your procedure. Most patients experience only a little bruising or swelling after treatment, and only mild discomfort. You’ll begin to see results after about two weeks after the swelling starts to subside. It’s important to note that your results will continue to refine for 3-6 months after treatment. Generally, only one treatment is needed for excellent, contoured results. Read our blog to learn more about the benefits of BodyTite here.

BodyTite is an ideal treatment to refine your overall contour and shape, results without extensive downtime or scarring.
How long does a BodyTite procedure typically take?
Depending on the number of areas being treated, BodyTite typically takes approximately 1-2 hours for 1-2 body areas. Oftentimes, BodyTite can be paired with Morpheus, an additional skin treatment to further improve patients' skin quality. With this added treatment, procedure times will require more time.
What are the main differences between BodyTite and Morpheus8 treatments?
BodyTite is a minimally invasive body contouring procedure that uses radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) technology to tighten skin and improve contour. It is ideal for reducing localized fat deposits and improving mild skin laxity.rnrnOn the other hand, Morpheus8 is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture, and tighten the skin. While BodyTite focuses on skin tightening and fat reduction (to a degree), Morpheus8 primarily addresses skin texture and overall skin quality.
How does combining BodyTite with Morpheus8 enhance body contouring results?
When combined, BodyTite and Morpheus8 provide comprehensive body contouring benefits. BodyTite improves contours and tightens the skin in the deeper layers, while Morpheus8 works primarily at more superficial layers of the skin. Morpheus8 works to enhance texture, reduce the appearance of scars or stretch marks, and stimulate additional collagen production. This dual approach achieves maximized contouring and skin quality improvement. These two treatments work synergistically to address aging skin.
What is the typical recovery time for a BodyTite with Morpheus8 procedure?
Recovery times vary based on other combined procedures, but most patients can expect about 5–10 days of downtime after combining BodyTite and Morpheus8 procedures. Mild swelling, skin sensation changes, and tenderness are common after BodyTite, while Morpheus8 may cause some redness or skin sensitivity. Most patients can return to work within a week, with more strenuous activities (like exercise) postponed for about 4 weeks. We recommend patients where a compression garment after BodyTite, and we recommend a tailored skincare regimen for our Morpheus8 patients.
How soon can patients expect to see results from a combined BodyTite and Morpheus8 treatment?
Patients may notice initial improvements in skin tightness and contour within a few weeks after the procedure. However, full results are typically evaluated at least 3 months after the BodyTite procedure. This allows for any swelling or scar tissue to resolve. Continuing Morpheus8 treatments provides continued maintenance and improvement over time as the body continues to produce new collagen.
Is BodyTite with Morpheus8 suitable for addressing both excess fat and skin laxity issues?
Yes, BodyTite with Morpheus8 can be an excellent solution for individuals looking to address both excess fat and skin laxity in one treatment plan. However, it is important to understand these procedures work best for patients with minimal to mild excess fat and skin laxity. Those with greater skin laxity may find they are better suited for an excisional procedure, such as an abdominoplasty or lower body lift. Similarly, patients with a significant amount of excess adiposity may be better served with liposuction.
