What is FaceTite?
FaceTite is a minimally-invasive skin tightening procedure similar to BodyTite. With tiny incisions, it can tighten and lift the skin of the neck and face using controlled heating to stimulate collagen production and reduce pockets of fat. FaceTite can be an excellent alternative to facelift or neck lift procedures which require more extensive skin excision and recovery. This option can produce excellent, refined results with just a single treatment session and can be a great option for patients who don’t require a surgical procedure yet.
Am I a Candidate for FaceTite?
FaceTite is a great option for patients with the beginning signs of aging like sagging skin, displaced fat, and jowls. It can also offer the benefit of lesser downtime than a surgical procedure, meaning you can get back to your regular schedule sooner. During a consultation at our Cary office, we can determine whether FaceTite is the best option for you depending on your unique needs and concerns.
How Does FaceTite Work?
FaceTite utilizes radio frequency energy to stimulate the tissues of the skin responsible for creating collagen. Collagen is a protein that contributes to a tight and firm appearance to the skin. As you age, you produce less collagen, eventually leading to wrinkling of the skin and sagging of facial features. By stimulating the skin with radiofrequency energy, you can achieve long-lasting results for a youthful, refreshed appearance.
How is FaceTite Performed?
FaceTite is performed under MAC anesthesia; you will be asleep for this procedure. Once you’re ready, a tiny incision is made in the treatment area, through which a specialized handpiece can be placed. This handpiece includes a radiofrequency-emitting cannula to tighten the skin and generate heat. An additional attachment keeps track of the temperature through an aligned disc on top of the skin. Overall, a single treatment area can take from 15 to 20 minutes. Once the treatment is complete, you can return home after a brief monitoring period.
What Can I Expect After FaceTite?
Most patients experience some minor bruising and swelling after FaceTite that begins to subside within a few days. Most patients require just a few days off of work and can manage any discomfort with over-the-counter medications. You’ll begin to notice your results after about two weeks but can expect your results to continue to refine over a few months after treatment. Most patients require only one treatment for results that last as long as five years. Learn more about the benefits of FaceTite in our blog post.
