What is it?

Juvéderm Volbella is a soft, crystal-clear gel that is injected directly into and around the lips using an ultra-fine needle to temporarily plump the lips for lip augmentation and to smooth the appearance of lines around the mouth, also known as perioral lines. It is intended to give a subtle lip boost. It lasts up to one year with optimal treatment.

Aftercare and Recovery Tips for Juvéderm Volbella XC Patients

After your injections, you’ll likely experience some swelling and bruising around the injection site, which should dissipate within a few days. To help ease swelling, you can apply a cold compress to the lips. During the healing process, avoid touching, massaging, or rubbing your lips for 24 hours to prevent shifting the formula. Refrain from using straws, as the suction motion can put pressure on the treated area. It’s also recommended to keep your head elevated to minimize swelling and avoid direct heat, sun exposure, and strenuous exercise.
