What is it?
Juvéderm Volbella is a soft, crystal-clear gel that is injected directly into and around the lips using an ultra-fine needle to temporarily plump the lips for lip augmentation and to smooth the appearance of lines around the mouth, also known as perioral lines. Benefits of Juvéderm Volbella XC for Lip Enhancement
You can look forward to a variety of benefits with Juvéderm Volbella XC. With this unique dermal filler, you can expect natural-looking results that never look overfilled, and those results can last for up to a full year. You can also look forward to significant results without the need for an invasive procedure or a long recovery time. Treatment can also be customized to meet your aesthetic goals.
How Juvéderm Volbella XC Differs from Other Lip Fillers
While Juvéderm Volbella XC is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler like other Juvéderm filler injections, it has a smoother, softer texture than other fillers and contains lidocaine to ensure your comfort throughout treatment. The Juvéderm Volbella XC formula is also cross-linked, which makes the hyaluronic acid particles more tightly bound, leading to a more cohesive gel and natural-looking results.
Additionally, the results of this dermal filler injectable last longer than many other lip fillers. You can expect to enjoy the results for up to 12 months or longer.
The Juvéderm Volbella XC Procedure: What to Expect
The Juvéderm Volbella XC procedure is very straightforward. We’ll start by cleansing the treatment area and then using a thin needle to precisely inject the formula into the lips. How many injections you need will depend on the results you’re looking for. As there is lidocaine in the formula, you won’t feel any discomfort. Once your injections are done, you can go back to your normal routine.
Ideal Candidates for Juvéderm Volbella XC Treatment
The optimal candidate for Juvéderm Volbella XC is someone looking to enhance lip volume, smooth vertical lip lines, or achieve subtle lip definition with natural-looking results. Ideal candidates are in good health, have realistic expectations, and want a non-surgical solution for lip enhancement or fine line correction.
How Long Does Juvéderm Volbella XC Last?
Juvéderm Volbella XC is one of the longer-lasting dermal fillers. You can expect to see results for a year or more, but longevity can vary based on individual metabolism, treatment area, and aftercare.
Combining Juvéderm Volbella XC with Other Treatments
Juvéderm Volbella XC injections can be combined with a number of other treatment options we offer at CARE Plastic Surgery, including other Juvéderm dermal fillers, Botox, microneedling, chemical peels, and more.
Preparing for Your Juvéderm Volbella XC Appointment
To prepare for your Juvéderm Volbella XC appointment, you’ll want to avoid blood thinners, alcohol, and caffeine, stay hydrated, and protect your skin. You’ll want to regularly wear sunscreen and avoid direct sun exposure.
Aftercare and Recovery Tips for Juvéderm Volbella XC Patients
After your injections, you’ll likely experience some swelling and bruising around the injection site, which should dissipate within a few days. To help ease swelling, you can apply a cold compress to the lips. During the healing process, avoid touching, massaging, or rubbing your lips for 24 hours to prevent shifting the formula. Refrain from using straws, as the suction motion can put pressure on the treated area. It’s also recommended to keep your head elevated to minimize swelling and avoid direct heat, sun exposure, and strenuous exercise.
