Juvéderm ® Ultra Plus XC

JUVEDERM ULTRA PLUS XC is an FDA-approved hyaluronic acid gel that is injected into areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur. It temporarily adds volume to the skin, which may give the appearance of a smoother, more youthful surface.

JUVEDERM ULTRA PLUS XC can be used to fill areas where moderate to severe facial wrinkles occur, such as around the nose and mouth, such as laugh lines, marionette lines, smile lines, and nasolabial folds. It can also be used to restore volume in the midface to provide a more youthful appearance.

Results from JUVEDERM ULTRA PLUS XC can last up to one year with optimal treatment. The results are not permanent, so the timeline between maintenance injections can vary from patient to patient.

JUVEDERM ULTRA PLUS XC has a thicker consistency than other Juvederm fillers, meaning it is a more cohesive dermal filler. It is ideal for deep lines and wrinkles and volume restoration in the face, specifically areas around the nose and mouth.

After consulting with your provider, you will be given an individualized treatment plan. Prior to the injection, a topical numbing cream may be applied to help assist with any discomfort during the treatment. Then, the product is placed under the surface of the skin with a very fine needle. It is normal to experience some temporary bruising and redness at the injection sites after treatment, but this will resolve within 2 weeks.
