At CARE, we have two of the latest CoolSculpting Elite machines so we can treat up to four areas at once, saving you time. Whether you’re looking to feel more confident in your favorite clothes or finally target stubborn areas that resist diet and exercise, our team will guide you through your personalized plan.

CoolSculpting Elite Advantages

  • CoolSculpting Elite is a great, FDA-approved non-invasive method for contouring and sculpting the body, removing stubborn fat from common “problem areas.”
  • An incredible non-invasive treatment for those who want a treatment with absolutely no downtime, no scarring, and no anesthesia!
  • We are proud to offer CoolSculpting Elite to patients to minimize the appointment time with maximum efficiency to freeze your flanks, abdomen, banana rolls, arms, and more!

What Is CoolSculpting Elite?

CoolSculpting Elite is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive fat reduction treatment. The device utilizes controlled cooling technology to freeze unwanted fat cells that are resistant to diet and exercise. CoolSculpting Elite can reduce fat in the treatment site by up to 25% and can be used on the abdomen, flanks, thighs, upper arms, bra roll, and more.

Top Benefits of CoolSculpting Elite for Stubborn Fat Reduction

If you are dealing with stubborn fat that just will not budge, no matter how much you diet or exercise, CoolSculpting® Elite might be the solution you have been looking for. This noninvasive fat freezing procedure uses controlled cooling to target and reduce fat cells in specific areas of the body, without surgery or downtime. CoolSculpting specifically targets subcutaneous fat, which is the fat located just beneath the skin. That means you can fit a session into your day and get right back to your normal routine.

One of the biggest perks of CoolSculpting® Elite is that it’s FDA-cleared and clinically proven to reduce fat in treated areas by up to 20–25% after just one session. Whether you’re bothered by stubborn belly fat, love handles, bra rolls or thigh bulges, CoolSculpting can help contour those problem spots and deliver long-lasting results – without surgery or downtime.

CoolSculpting is also FDA-cleared for treatment of both the inner and outer thighs, making it an effective option for reducing fat bulges and improving body contours in one of the most common trouble areas.

What Areas Can Be Addressed?

CoolSculpting can treat a wide range of areas on the body where stubborn fat tends to accumulate. Popular treatment areas include:

  • Abdomen
  • Flanks or love handles
  • Inner and outer thighs
  • Upper arms (including the upper arm as a specific FDA-cleared area)
  • Back fat and bra bulge
  • Under the chin and jawline
  • Under the buttocks or banana roll

What to Expect From Your CoolSculpting Elite Experience

The CoolSculpting Elite procedure is non-invasive and does not require anesthesia. Once the target areas have been identified and marked, a thin gel pad will be placed to protect your skin. The applicator will then be placed on the treatment site. The CoolSculpting Elite device applies gentle suction to draw the fat bulge between the applicator panels. The device then cools the fat roll to a specific temperature that freezes and kills fat cells while leaving surrounding cells unharmed. The dead cells will then be eliminated by the body over the next several weeks. You will see your best outcome 1-3 months after treatment.

There is little to no downtime required after your CoolSculpting Elite procedure. You may experience slight bruising, numbness, or tenderness in the treatment area. These side effects are usually mild and should resolve within a few days. Contact Us

CoolSculpting Elite Results

While some patients may see initial results after about two weeks, the most noticeable body contouring changes will appear over the course of four to six weeks as the frozen fat cells are eliminated by the body. The results of CoolSculpting Elite are long-lasting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help prolong the outcome of your treatment. To boost fat reduction results, consider some of our other complementary procedures, such as BodyTite fat removal and skin tightening. Read our blog on the 7 benefits of CoolSculpting to learn more.

Who is a Good Candidate for CoolSculpting Elite?

CoolSculpting is designed for men and women who are at or near their ideal body weight but have isolated pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. The best candidates are in good overall health, able to maintain a stable weight, and have realistic expectations about their results. Meeting these criteria helps ensure CoolSculpting is both safe and effective.

It is important to understand that CoolSculpting is not a weight loss solution, but rather a body sculpting treatment to refine and contour specific areas.

During your consultation at CARE Plastic Surgery in Cary, our experienced team will evaluate your goals to determine if CoolSculpting is the right fit for you.

Reduce excess fat without interrupting your busy life.

Many people have fat that won’t budge no matter how hard they work in the gym. CoolSculpting Elite can help take care of what diet and exercise do not. Both men and women can find benefits from CoolSculpting Elite non-surgical fat loss. CoolSculpting Elite provides a long-lasting reduction for unwanted bulges by freezing the fat until it breaks down, so your body can eliminate it naturally. Your skin, muscle, and other tissues stay healthy and unharmed.

No surgery, quick treatment, and little to no downtime.

In fact, it’s so easy that most patients read, work on their laptops, or just have a cat-nap while the CoolSculpting Elite device does its work. After your treatment, you can return to your busy day with no downtime. You’ll see results in as little as 3 weeks, as your body naturally gets rid of destroyed fat cells in the treated area. After 1-3 months, you’ll notice an impressive fat reduction and feel great about how much slimmer you look and feel.

CoolSculpting vs. Liposuction: Which Is Right for You?

CoolSculpting and liposuction are both fat reduction treatments, but they differ in method and recovery. CoolSculpting is nonsurgical and ideal for those seeking subtle contouring without downtime. Liposuction is a surgical procedure that removes larger volumes of fat and may be better suited for patients wanting more dramatic results, especially in larger areas.

CoolSculpting is more suitable for smaller, localized fat deposits, while liposuction can address larger areas of fat more effectively. The right choice depends on your goals, lifestyle and how much fat you want to remove. At CARE Plastic Surgery, we offer both treatments and can help you determine which one will best meet your needs.

Does CoolSculpting Work After Weight Loss or Ozempic (GLP-1)?

CoolSculpting can be an excellent way to fine-tune your results after weight loss or the use of medications like Ozempic. While these treatments help reduce overall body fat, they don’t always target the small, stubborn pockets of fat that remain – or address changes in skin firmness and laxity that can follow significant weight reduction.

That’s where CoolSculpting comes in. This treatment is designed specifically to sculpt lingering fat deposits, helping you achieve a more defined look. Think of it as the finishing touch to all the hard work you’ve already put in.

It’s important to note that while CoolSculpting permanently reduces fat in treated areas, it does not tighten loose or stretched skin. For patients with skin laxity, complementary treatments such as BodyTite® (for skin tightening and fat contraction) or Morpheus8® (for collagen stimulation and skin remodeling) may be recommended to enhance your results.

At CARE Plastic Surgery, our team takes a personalized approach, assessing your body’s new contours and tailoring a treatment plan that blends the right technologies to help you look and feel your best.

What to Expect From Your CoolSculpting Results Timeline

CoolSculpting works by gradually freezing and eliminating fat cells, which your body then processes and removes naturally. Results typically start to appear within three to four weeks, with full results visible after about two to three months.

It is important to schedule a follow-up appointment to assess your results, monitor your progress and determine if additional treatments are needed. We will guide you through the timeline and monitor your progress to ensure your treatment is both safe and successful.

How Many CoolSculpting Sessions Will I Need?

One of the most common questions we receive is how many sessions are needed for the best results with CoolSculpting ELITE. While the exact number varies depending on your treatment goals, the area being treated, and how your body responds, most patients see noticeable improvement after just one session.

For optimal results, three treatment sessions are typically recommended. The number and frequency of sessions can significantly impact your outcome, which is why it’s important to have a personalized plan.

During your consultation, our providers will evaluate your goals and create a customized treatment plan tailored to your body and aesthetic needs. We’ll guide you through every step to ensure your CoolSculpting journey is as effective and efficient as possible.

Is CoolSculpting Permanent? Understanding Long-Term Results.

CoolSculpting provides long-term results because it permanently destroys fat cells in the treated areas. Once eliminated, those fat cells do not regenerate. However, if you gain weight in the future, the remaining fat cells in your body can still expand, which may affect your outcome.

Maintaining a stable weight with healthy eating and regular activity is key to preserving your results. With proper care and lifestyle habits, many patients enjoy the benefits of CoolSculpting for years to come.

How Much Does CoolSculpting Cost, and Is Financing Available?

CoolSculpting costs vary based on the size of the treatment area, the number of sessions needed, your individual goals, and even your height and body proportions. For example, a taller patient may have a larger treatment surface than a shorter patient in the same body area, which can influence the number of applicators and sessions required.

During your consultation, our team will create a personalized treatment plan and provide a detailed quote tailored to your needs.

At CARE, we offer SculptPackages starting at $2,350, designed to give you the comprehensive number of treatments needed for lasting results. This “treat to complete” philosophy makes your investment more predictable – ensuring you receive the full number of sessions required to get the results you want, rather than piecemeal treatments that may leave you short of your goals.

We also offer flexible financing options, including third-party payment plans and the Allē Payment Plan, to make your investment easier and more accessible. This plan allows you to pay over time – with many patients qualifying for promotional 0% APR offers – and it uses a soft credit check, meaning your score won’t be impacted. Best of all, you can move forward with treatments without having to cover the full cost up front.

Even better, you’ll earn Allē points with every CoolSculpting Elite treatment. These points can be redeemed toward SkinMedica® medical-grade products or applied to other popular services like BOTOX®, Juvéderm®, or a DiamondGlow® facial.

During your consultation, our team will create a personalized plan tailored to your body and walk you through every pricing and payment option, including Allē, so you feel confident and comfortable moving forward with your treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a non-invasive technology that achieves fat reduction and body contouring. Patients can expect up to a 20-25% tissue reduction per treatment in the treated areas. While not a weight loss procedure, CoolSculpting works synergistically with diet and exercise to achieve optimal results.

Is there any downtime?

No, the benefit of CoolSculpting is the opportunity to receive treatments that have minimal to no impact on your day-to-day activities. Many of our patients find themselves back in the gym the same day or the day after.

How long does it take?

While it depends on the specific areas of interest, treatments can take anywhere between 45 minutes to 1 hour per cycle. It is common for patients to require multiple cycles per visit.

What areas can be treated?

The FDA-cleared areas that are most commonly treated include the abdomen, flanks, bra roll, arms, outer thighs, inner thighs, banana roll, submental, and distal knee.

Am I a good Candidate?

Ideal candidates for CoolSculpting have areas of unwanted fat that have been resistant to diet and exercise. Your candidacy for the procedure will be determined during your consultation appointment.

Can I use CoolSculpting® to lose weight?

No, CoolSculpting is not designed for weight loss. Patients are typically close to their ideal body weight and follow a healthy lifestyle, but they often struggle to eliminate fat in a few stubborn areas.

Are these treatments painful?

Most patients experience minor discomfort during the first five minutes of their CoolSculpting treatment. This sensation will fade as the controlled cooling starts to work.

How is CoolSculpting performed?

CoolSculpting utilizes both a suction and cooling technology to reduce stubborn pockets of fat. It is non-invasive, meaning there are no incisions and/or scars associated with treatment. There is no downtime or recovery, and many of our patients exercise or return to work the same day as treatment!

Will the fat come back?

CoolSculpting is considered to be permanent fat reduction as long as a patient maintains their baseline weight. We recommend continuing your normal diet and exercise routines, as these work synergistically with CoolSculpting for the best outcomes. However, weight gain can impede your ability to see your CoolSculpting results.

How long does it take to see results?

Many of our patients have shared that they begin noticing improvement about 4-6 weeks after initial treatment. However, optimal results are seen between 2-4 months after your last treatment.

Are there any side effects?

Common side effects include redness, bruising, localized swelling, numbness or diminished sensation of the treated area, and soreness/discomfort. These side effects are temporary and improve over time. It may take a few weeks for full sensation to return to the affected area.

What should I do before and after CoolSculpting?

Before your CoolSculpting treatment, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and eating a snack or light meal. We want you to be comfortable throughout your treatment. For best results, we recommend maintaining your normal diet and exercise routines after treatment.

How much does it cost?

Pricing will vary based on the area(s) treated and the amount of excess tissue. The amount of tissue a patient has will determine how many treatments and sessions are needed for maximum improvement.

Should I massage my stomach after CoolSculpting?

At the end of your CoolSculpting treatment, our providers will perform a 2-minute manual massage to the treated area. Doing so helps to further break up the fat cells. This has been proven to subsequently increase your results by 68%. However, there is no need to perform additional massage at home.

What should I eat after CoolSculpting?

You can eat whatever you would like after your CoolSculpting treatment. There are no restrictions, so you may eat whatever foods you typically enjoy. However, it is important to note that we recommend maintaining your normal diet and exercise routine during your CoolSculpting journey.

Can I drink coffee before CoolSculpting?

Yes, you may drink coffee, in moderation, prior to your CoolSculpting treatment.

Should I wear compression garments after CoolSculpting?

There is no associated recovery or downtime with CoolSculpting, so there is no need to wear a compression garment after your treatment as it will not impact your results.

How long will my stomach be swollen after CoolSculpting?

Most of our patients (and even staff!) have noticed post-treatment swelling typically resolves within 24-72 hours after treatment. In some patients and certain treatment areas, it may take a full 1-2 weeks to fully resolve.

Why does my stomach look bigger after CoolSculpting? (popular question to address the appearance of being swollen right after)?

Your abdomen can often look larger after your CoolSculpting treatment. This is because your body experiences an increase in blood flow due to the suction and cooling technology, resulting in localized swelling of the treated area. This is a common and normal side effect. Swelling is also part of our body's inflammatory response to removing dead fat cells.

Should I ice after CoolSculpting?

We would not recommend using cool compresses directly on the treated areas after CoolSculpting. Patients often experience diminished sensation or numbness in the treated areas, and utilizing cool compresses or heating pads can increase the risk of thermal burns. If patients are sore or uncomfortable, we recommend taking OTC pain relievers, like Tylenol, to help with aches or soreness.

How do I prepare for CoolSculpting?

Before your CoolSculpting treatment, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and eating a snack or light meal. We want you to be comfortable throughout your treatment.

How do I maximize CoolSculpting results?

For best results, we recommend maintaining your normal diet and exercise routines after treatment. We also recommend protecting the skin of the treated area(s) with SPF if you are going to be in the sun.

How many pounds can CoolSculpting remove?

CoolSculpting is not a weight-loss procedure. You will not see a decrease in the number on the scale; rather, CoolSculpting is a fat reduction technology that helps to contour trouble spots that struggle to respond to diet/exercise.

Is CoolSculpting safe for everyone?-

Coolsculpting is a non-invasive fat reduction treatment that is safe for everyone

What is the science behind CoolSculpting?

Coolsculpting uses Cryolipolysis, which is a technical way to say fat-freezing. When fat cells freeze, they die and are then naturally eliminated through the body's natural processes over the course of weeks to months following treatment

Can CoolSculpting be used on any part of the body?

Coolsculpting is FDA approved to treat 9 areas. Submental (under the chin), Inner thigh, Outer thigh, abdomen, flanks, bra fat, upper arms, banana roll (under the buttocks), and distal thigh (right above the knee cap).

How many sessions of CoolSculpting are typically needed?

For most patients, 2 or more visits are recommended to achieve best results. Our Coolsculpting providers create a personalized treatment plan for each patient, and each one is uniquely customized.

Are there any long-term effects of CoolSculpting?

All side effects for Coolsculpting are temporary and will resolve themselves within 2-4 weeks. In very few cases, Coolsculpting may cause a visible enlargement in the treated area called Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH), which may develop 2 to 5 months after treatment and requires surgical intervention for correction.
