What is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is an innovative treatment that uses radiofrequency technology (RF energy) to remodel deep tissues and control sweating by targeting the underlying cause. Microneedling, the other step in the Morpheus8 treatment, works by creating tiny micro pins in the skin that jumpstart the skin’s rejuvenation processes and treat excessive sweating— this technique is called collagen induction therapy (CIT). Similar to other treatments, treating severe cases of primary hyperhidrosis

Morpheus8 for Hyperhidrosis Treatment

While Morpheus8 is outstanding at creating a more youthful appearance in a treated area such as the face and neck, the real benefits lie in its treatment of medical conditions such as primary hyperhidrosis, secondary hyperhidrosis, or excessive underarm sweating. Unsurprisingly, the main symptom of hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating, so you may need to undergo a sweat test and physical exam before treating the underlying condition.

With other treatments for hyperhidrosis, patients should anticipate blurred vision, shaking hands, dry mouth, and fluctuating body temperature. With Morpheus8 treatment, the possible side effects are much more manageable and far less severe.

Morpheus8 treatment works to desensitize the apocrine glands and eccrine glands—the building blocks that produce sweat and leave most patients with poor mental health. Sweat glands can benefit from repeat treatments that use a combination of radiofrequency energy and microneedling.

How many treatments you may need to fully treat the underlying medical condition can vary, but many patients will notice a dramatic reduction in their excessive sweating after their first treatment. Generally, the best results may take anywhere between 1-3 Morpheus8 treatment sessions. After going through with treatment, you can expect permanent results and relief from compensatory sweating, this is because Morpheus 8 targets the root of the problem causing excessive sweating.

Why Morpheus8 Treatment instead of Botox Treatment?

Morpheus 8 can address the root of the problem causing too much sweat in as little as 1 treatment, whereas botulinum toxin injections can typically take 4 or more treatments and are not considered permanent. Botulinum toxin treatment blocks the nerve signals in your underarms, blocking the abilities of your nervous system to treat hyperhidrosis. On the other hand, Morpheus8 works to desensitize your sweat glands enabling long-lasting results in the affected area. There is also a significant cost difference between Botox and Morpheus8– botulinum toxin injections can cost as much as $5,600, whereas Morpheus8 can be as low as $1,000!
