Sometimes a little change can transform your entire appearance. Although each procedure we offer is transformative, our rhinoplasty patients often experience some of the biggest changes to their appearance. The nose is the central feature of the face. If it is too large or too small, it can throw off the balance of the entire face. Resize the nose to better complement your other features and you’ll notice improvement in your appearance from brow to chin. Change your nose and transform your look!

Functional Rhinoplasty- What Is It and Do You Need It?
Cosmetic rhinoplasty changes the appearance of the nose. Functional rhinoplasty focuses on how the nose works. It can clear and open the airway, remove breathing obstructions, etc. If you’re already coming in for a cosmetic rhinoplasty, it is easy to address functional issues at the same time. Let us know if you have any signs of a breathing obstruction including:
- Frequent headaches
- Recurrent sinus infections
- Dry mouth
- Bad breath
- Noisy breathing
Functional rhinoplasty can be performed on its own or paired with a cosmetic rhinoplasty. Breathe easier and feel better!
Are You a Good Candidate for Rhinoplasty?
Most healthy adults are good candidates for rhinoplasty. We’ll talk about your medical history, goals for surgery, and expectations in depth during your consultation to make sure that rhinoplasty is a good fit for you. You may be a good candidate if:
- Your nose has reached its full adult size (typically age 15-16 for girls, 16-17 for boys)
- You have realistic goals for the procedure
- You are healthy
- You don’t smoke
- You are able to commit to the recovery timeline

What Is Recovery Like After Rhinoplasty?
Patients are often nervous about recovery after rhinoplasty. It can be difficult, but most patients find it progresses quickly and that they are soon back to work and other activities. Plan on taking about a week off from work or school. You’ll probably need a splint for the first week and you may have bruising around the eyes for about two weeks after surgery. Rest is one of the keys to a successful recovery. Give yourself plenty of time to heal before resuming strenuous activities.
Patients typically report experiencing tenderness, swelling, and bruising after surgery. You’ll need someone to drive you home after surgery and help with your care for the first couple of days. You may be tired for the first few days. We typically find that patients recover quickly, although it can take a few months for swelling to fully resolve. We can give you a better idea of what to expect during your consultation.
