Dr. Brian S. Coan is an MIT and Duke University trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Author, Educator and Clinical Adjunct Faculty at the Duke University School of Medicine in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, where he graduated from the distinguished program as chief resident.

In his faculty appointment at Duke University, Dr. Coan remains closely involved and dedicated to teaching and training the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residents at Duke University Medical School. He also continues to publish academic articles in collaboration with renowned colleagues in the field. His most recent breakthrough was published in the December 2009 prestigious Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery where he was first author on an article on rhinoplasty.
